If you are not able to make it to Trattoria for dinner, one way to earn the coveted stamp is through brunch! And that is exactly what we did. Brunch starts off with a shot of a Blueberry Smoothie and some freshly baked Tiramisu Bread. There is a bit of coffee flavoured mascarpone to enhance the flavour of the loaf.
We decided to go for Antipasto Misto. The platter has something for everyone. Some meat, som seafood and lots of carbs too. We split the platter up into two, and you can see the individual items better here. The Spicy Wagyu Meatball is what you've probably had with their spaghetti, and it's a nice, moist morsel of meat. It's definitely a two-to-three biter, with just a hint of heat. Ask for extra chili flakes if you like it hot! The Jumbo Tiger Prawn could be bigger, but the actual prawn was very bouncy. I wasn't a huge fan of the Forno Honey Mussel, nothing wrong with it, but I didn't love the crust. Next up was the Burrata Caprese, which was really good. Very refreshing and I've never met a burrata I didn't love. The Fior Di Latte Calzone is more prominent in the first photo, but I found the crust to be a bit too heavy. The Prosciutto & Pepperoni Stuffed Crispy Gnocchi was really good, a fine balance of meat and gnocchi. There was also a mini crockpot full of Vegetable Fritto. The breading was a bit heavy, but the veggies were very fresh. We actually finished them, but we did take some of the crust off.
Take Note:
- No reservations for dinner
- 50% off wines on Wednesday
- Great patio for a sunny afternoon
